سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينَ

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ

বাংলাযারা মাপে কম করে, তাদের জন্যে দুর্ভোগ,

EnglishWoe to those who give less [than due],

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ

বাংলাযারা লোকের কাছ থেকে যখন মেপে নেয়, তখন পূর্ণ মাত্রায় নেয়

EnglishWho, when they take a measure from people, take in full.

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ

বাংলাএবং যখন লোকদেরকে মেপে দেয় কিংবা ওজন করে দেয়, তখন কম করে দেয়।

EnglishBut if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.

أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ

বাংলাতারা কি চিন্তা করে না যে, তারা পুনরুত্থিত হবে।

EnglishDo they not think that they will be resurrected

لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

বাংলাসেই মহাদিবসে,

EnglishFor a tremendous Day -

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

বাংলাযেদিন মানুষ দাঁড়াবে বিশ্ব পালনকর্তার সামনে।

EnglishThe Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍۢ

বাংলাএটা কিছুতেই উচিত নয়, নিশ্চয় পাপাচারীদের আমলনামা সিজ্জীনে আছে।

EnglishNo! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌۭ

বাংলাআপনি জানেন, সিজ্জীন কি?

EnglishAnd what can make you know what is sijjeen?

كِتَٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ

বাংলাএটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।

EnglishIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.

وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

বাংলাসেদিন দুর্ভোগ মিথ্যারোপকারীদের,

EnglishWoe, that Day, to the deniers,

ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ

বাংলাযারা প্রতিফল দিবসকে মিথ্যারোপ করে।

EnglishWho deny the Day of Recompense.

وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ

বাংলাপ্রত্যেক সীমালংঘনকারী পাপিষ্ঠই কেবল একে মিথ্যারোপ করে।

EnglishAnd none deny it except every sinful transgressor.

إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

বাংলাতার কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করা হলে সে বলে, পুরাকালের উপকথা।

EnglishWhen Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."

كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ

বাংলাকখনও না, বরং তারা যা করে, তাই তাদের হৃদয় মরিচা ধরিয়ে দিয়েছে।

EnglishNo! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.

كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ

বাংলাকখনও না, তারা সেদিন তাদের পালনকর্তার থেকে পর্দার অন্তরালে থাকবে।

EnglishNo! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.

ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

বাংলাঅতঃপর তারা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে।

EnglishThen indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.

ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

বাংলাএরপর বলা হবে, একেই তো তোমরা মিথ্যারোপ করতে।

EnglishThen it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ

বাংলাকখনও না, নিশ্চয় সৎলোকদের আমলনামা আছে ইল্লিয়্যীনে।

EnglishNo! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ

বাংলাআপনি জানেন ইল্লিয়্যীন কি?

EnglishAnd what can make you know what is 'illiyyun?

كِتَٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ

বাংলাএটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।

EnglishIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ

বাংলাআল্লাহর নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্ত ফেরেশতাগণ একে প্রত্যক্ষ করে।

EnglishWhich is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].

إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ

বাংলানিশ্চয় সৎলোকগণ থাকবে পরম আরামে,

EnglishIndeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ

বাংলাসিংহাসনে বসে অবলোকন করবে।

EnglishOn adorned couches, observing.

تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

বাংলাআপনি তাদের মুখমন্ডলে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের সজীবতা দেখতে পাবেন।

EnglishYou will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.

يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍۢ مَّخْتُومٍ

বাংলাতাদেরকে মোহর করা বিশুদ্ধ পানীয় পান করানো হবে।

EnglishThey will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.

خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌۭ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ

বাংলাতার মোহর হবে কস্তুরী। এ বিষয়ে প্রতিযোগীদের প্রতিযোগিতা করা উচিত।

EnglishThe last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.

وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ

বাংলাতার মিশ্রণ হবে তসনীমের পানি।

EnglishAnd its mixture is of Tasneem,

عَيْنًۭا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ

বাংলাএটা একটা ঝরণা, যার পানি পান করবে নৈকট্যশীলগণ।

EnglishA spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ

বাংলাযারা অপরাধী, তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে উপহাস করত।

EnglishIndeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.

وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ

বাংলাএবং তারা যখন তাদের কাছ দিয়ে গমন করত তখন পরস্পরে চোখ টিপে ইশারা করত।

EnglishAnd when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.

وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ

বাংলাতারা যখন তাদের পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছে ফিরত, তখনও হাসাহাসি করে ফিরত।

EnglishAnd when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.

وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ

বাংলাআর যখন তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে দেখত, তখন বলত, নিশ্চয় এরা বিভ্রান্ত।

EnglishAnd when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."

وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَٰفِظِينَ

বাংলাঅথচ তারা বিশ্বাসীদের তত্ত্বাবধায়করূপে প্রেরিত হয়নি।

EnglishBut they had not been sent as guardians over them.

فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ

বাংলাআজ যারা বিশ্বাসী, তারা কাফেরদেরকে উপহাস করছে।

EnglishSo Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,

عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ

বাংলাসিংহাসনে বসে, তাদেরকে অবলোকন করছে,

EnglishOn adorned couches, observing.

هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ

বাংলাকাফেররা যা করত, তার প্রতিফল পেয়েছে তো?

EnglishHave the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
